Who is Denise Francis?

Although Beauty & the Beat Wigs was officially founded in 2017, Denise Francis, the company’s Founder and wig master, first got the idea back in 2011 while she attended university.

Not “your Grammy’s wig”, Beauty and the Beat wigs are for women who like to stay on beat! Through Instagram, Denise connects with followers who are as dialed into the art of wearings wigs as she is! She is transparent, playful, funny, and fabulous in her presentation and perhaps, that’s why you’re here.

Today, Denise dares to put The Bahamas and Caribbean at-large back on the beauty map where they belong. From Grace Jones to Naomi Campbell… to Rihanna, some of your most iconic faves share cultural heritage with the Beauty and the Beat Founder.

Denise stands by the quality of her custom wigs. So much so that you will only see her rocking an official Beauty & the Beat Wig whenever she is deep in her wig bag. If she had to wear one unit for the rest of her life, it would be the Signature Unit because it’s “not too short or long and has a subtle color that can work from day to night”.

As she stands on the precipice of becoming one of the first Bahamian-Jamaican women to take a custom hair and wig brand to the world, Denise wants to encourage you to “always be authentic, focus on what you want to achieve, and forget what people said about you.” Finally, “never forget to consult with God before making any business moves.”
